When I was a young gamer, I remember being thoroughly impressed by Xenogears’ gripping action and dramatic animated scenes even when I was also thoroughly confused by the storyline. Tales of reincarnated dudes, god machines and thousands-year-old government conspiracies aren’t exactly bed-time reading. And Final Fantasy Tactics possibly had an even more convoluted storyline (seriously, how many conspiracies did it have? three? six?).
That’s why I have nothing but love for the Wikipedia authors who wrote summaries for some of my favorite RPGs and reminded (or finally explained to) me why I killed so many bad guys and suffered through so many betrayals.
What other RPG summaries are worth reading?
